AD7988-1 is a 16bit, successive approximation, analogue -to-digital converter (ADC) that operate from a single power supply. It is a power, 16bit sampling ADCs with a versatile serial interface port. On the CNV rising edge, they sample an analogue input, IN+, between 0V to VREF with respect to a ground sense, IN-. The reference voltage, REF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage, VDD. Typical application includes automated test equipment, data acquisition systems, medical instruments and machine automation.
- High performance: pseudo differential analogue input range 0V to VREF with VREF between 2.5V to 5V
- Throughput: 100KSPS, zero latency architecture and 16bit resolution with no missing codes
- INL: ±0.6LSB typ, ±1.25LSB max, dynamic range: 92dB, VREF=5V and ±0.4LSB DNL
- SNR: 91.5dB at fIN = 1KHz, VREF = 5V, THD: -114dB at fIN = 1KHz, VREF=5V, SINAD: 91dB at fIN = 10KHz
- Single-supply 2.5V operation with 1.8V/2.5V/3V/5V logic interface
- Low power dissipation: 400µW at 100KSPS (VDD only), 700µW at 100KSPS (total)
- Proprietary serial interface SPI-/QSPI™-/MICROWIRE™-/DSP-compatible
- 0.54ppm/°C zero temperature drift
- 10 lead LFCSP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C
